Tuition Receipt

Description: In the 1860s, students were charged for additions to classes. As seen in the tuition receipt, students had to pay extra to take courses in music, French, drawing and painting. Students were also responsible for paying for the use of amenities such as the piano. In this case, the student was a senior, which we can see because she had to pay for her diploma because supplies were tight due to the war.
